Session procedure

For body treatment, Dr Romano advises anaesthetic cream one hour beforehand.

Results and limitations

It improves suppleness, elasticity and quality.
Results are mild and vary individually.
Cellulite is the exception, improving considerably. However, many sessions are needed: fifteen weekly initially, then maintenance every two weeks for life!

Dr Romano mainly recommends prevention in areas ageing fastest: eyelids, knees, elbows, facial contour and buttocks.
One session every month and a half is then performed.

How much does a carboxytherapy session cost in Geneva?

In Geneva, carboxytherapy costs 200 CHF per area per session.
An area is a specific anatomical region. Thighs are not one area: inner, outer, front and back each count separately.
Session numbers vary with indication and response. Courses involve closely spaced, often initially weekly sessions, followed by wider intervals.

Is carboxytherapy effective?

Yes, improving microcirculation, stimulating collagen and reducing ageing signs, stretch marks, cellulite and dark circles with gradual, natural results.

What is facial carboxytherapy?

Subcutaneous carbon dioxide (CO₂) stimulates circulation, oxygenation and collagen to firm skin and reduce wrinkles.

What is patient feedback on carboxytherapy for under-eye bags?

It is appreciated for reducing bags and dark circles through circulation and drainage, decreasing swelling and darkness. Results develop after several sessions.

Is carboxytherapy painful?

Generally well tolerated, with possible mild tingling or pressure during injection, resolving quickly afterwards.

Can normal activities resume immediately after carboxytherapy?

Yes. Mild redness or swelling may occur but resolves within hours.
