The treatment session

After disinfection, Dr Romano injects hyaluronic acid using a cannula (a rounded-tip needle).
Injection points are selected according to the desired effect. Injections are generally placed just beneath the brow ridge to create natural lifting and enhance the curve. The product is placed very deeply, against the bone.
A small amount of hyaluronic acid is used each time to avoid excess and ensure a subtle result. The procedure is quick and virtually painless, with maximum patient comfort.

Instructions before and after hyaluronic acid injections for brow projection
Before hyaluronic acid injections for brow projection, following certain recommendations helps achieve the best results and minimise risks. For a few days beforehand, it is preferable to avoid anticoagulants (following advice and instructions from the prescribing doctor), anti-inflammatory medicines and supplements containing vitamin E or ginkgo biloba, which may increase bleeding and bruising. Avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before treatment is also recommended because it can affect coagulation.
After injections, avoid touching or massaging the treated area for the first 24 hours to prevent product displacement. Avoid exposing the face to excessive heat, including saunas, hammams or sun, for 48 hours after the procedure. Finally, avoid intense physical activity during the same period to prevent inflammation and product displacement.
Side effects
Hyaluronic acid injections are generally well tolerated, but like any aesthetic procedure, they can cause temporary side effects. The most common are mild redness, slight swelling and small bruises at the injection site. These generally disappear within a few days.
Because this injection is technically complex, an experienced doctor is essential. Otherwise, complications can occur : allergic reactions, uneven product distribution, visible product, necrosis, disappointing results and a lack of harmony with the face.
