HYALURONIC ACID FOR FEET

Dernière mise à jour : 26 June 2026

What is foot ageing?

Often overlooked in aesthetic medicine, feet are essential functionally, posturally and aesthetically. Over time, skin thins, dehydrates and loses elasticity, exposing veins, tendons and bones: feet age.
Comprehensive rejuvenation restores volume, quality, deep hydration and tissue suppleness, reducing prominent anatomy.
Hyaluronic acid injections and biorevitalising peels, particularly PRX-T33, now allow foot rejuvenation.

Why do feet age?

Ageing involves skin, tissue and structure. Fat pads beneath the sole and around joints thin, called plantar lipodystrophy, reducing natural cushioning. Bones become prominent and walking may be uncomfortable or mildly painful, particularly on hard surfaces or in certain shoes.
Heavily used foot skin ages more: drying, thickening in places and thinning elsewhere, losing elasticity and friction resistance. Fine lines, folds, cracks and dryness appear. Superficial vessels may show, and reduced tone changes appearance.
Beyond chronological ageing, high heels, prolonged standing, certain sports, naturally dry skin and hormones aggravate changes. Understanding them enables targeted, personalised protocols.

Foot ageing

Like face and hands, feet undergo visible skin and tissue ageing. Often neglected, changes may cause embarrassment, avoiding open shoes or hiding feet in summer.
Main age-related changes include:

  • Volume loss: dorsal fat diminishes, exposing veins, tendons, ligaments and bones. Feet become angular, bony or hollow, losing rounded softness and harmony.
  • Laxity, wrinkles and hollows: reduced collagen and elastin diminish firmness and density, thinning skin and creating fine lines.
  • Dehydration and texture: constant friction and mechanical stress increase dryness, fragility, dullness and reduced suppleness. Some areas thicken.

Normal changes may nevertheless affect aesthetics and comfort, particularly in open shoes or when a groomed appearance matters. Suitable medical solutions now rejuvenate feet.

Which aesthetic medical techniques rejuvenate feet?

Targeted treatment restores aesthetic and functional balance, improving quality, replacing volume and creating smoother, more even, younger skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a cornerstone, replacing depleted subcutaneous tissue with support, density and deep hydration.
Lightly cross-linked Skinboosters revitalise intradermally, increase density, stimulate collagen and elastin, improve quality and restore suppleness, elasticity and lasting hydration.
Biorevitalising peels smooth surfaces, reduce pigmentation irregularities and stimulate renewal.
Personalised combinations according to skin and goals provide gradual, natural, lasting rejuvenation.

Foot rejuvenation with peels

Peels are selected for individual needs and condition, usually combining complementary ingredients. Some exfoliate controllably to remove damaged cells, refine texture and renew skin; others penetrate deeper to stimulate collagen and elastin, strengthen dermis and soften fine lines.
Exfoliation and regeneration create smoother, more even, hydrated, younger skin. Consultation determines type, dose and frequency according to skin, thickness, hyperkeratosis or pigmentation, aiming for natural, progressive, lasting results.

Foot rejuvenation with Skinboosters: density and hydration

Skinboosters effectively rejuvenate thin, fragile or dehydrated foot skin. Lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid acts deeply without volume to increase density, support structure and lasting hydration. Usually needle-injected in a precise, even dorsal grid, it may cause bruises or redness resolving within days. One to two syringes per foot and one to two sessions a few weeks apart may optimise results. Skin progressively becomes supple, luminous and resistant to external stress. Natural, harmonious effects average one year, extendable with maintenance.

Filling foot hollows: volumising hyaluronic acid

Volumising hyaluronic acid fills dorsal hollows, restores volume, softens wrinkles, treats thinning and conceals prominent veins and tendons for overall rejuvenation.
Dr Romano analyses foot morphology and aesthetic needs and discusses goals at consultation.
Skin is disinfected; anaesthetic cream may optimise comfort.
Volumising hyaluronic acid is evenly placed in selected areas using a rounded-tip cannula to restore volume and smooth fine lines.
After around 10 minutes, specific instructions are given and usual activities resume immediately.
Avoid anti-inflammatory medicines and anticoagulants 48 hours beforehand to limit bleeding, only with the prescribing doctor's approval and instructions. Limit alcohol and avoid smoking to reduce side effects. Wear comfortable shoes without pressure on treatment day.
Afterwards, avoid tight shoes for 48 hours and intense exercise for 48 hours to reduce pressure, bruising or irritation. Apply moisturiser and avoid excessive heat such as saunas or steam rooms for several days.

Results: before/after foot rejuvenation

Immediate results include smoother, hydrated skin and restored volume. Optimal improvement comes after about three weeks as products integrate and skin regenerates. Volume remains harmonious and anatomically natural.
Beyond aesthetics, restored tissue reduces visible bone, tendons and veins and improves shoe comfort. Hollow, wrinkled feet with prominent structures become plumper, smoother and younger.
Natural, discreet results last six to twelve months depending on lifestyle and metabolism. Non-invasive, incision-free treatment allows immediate activity. Before/after photos show improved density and quality and restored depleted padding.

Prices

Prices depend on technique, product amount and ageing severity.
Volumising hyaluronic acid costs 600 CHF per syringe. Skin, volume loss and goals determine amounts, averaging two to six syringes per session. Annual renewal generally maintains stable results.
Skinboosters cost 400 CHF per syringe. A full course averages four syringes, possibly repeated a month later, then annually.
Peels cost 200 CHF per session. Three initial peels two months apart are followed by six-monthly maintenance.
All treatments are tailored to needs, morphology and goals.

Patient reviews

Patients report high aesthetic and functional satisfaction. Natural, harmonious results appear in early weeks, with smoother, hydrated, younger feet.
Many value better shoe comfort, particularly sandals or open styles, and improved confidence. Simplicity and durability appeal to those seeking discreet, effective, safe ageing correction.

What does aesthetic foot rejuvenation involve?

Non-surgical techniques restore thickness and quality, fill volume and soften prominent structures. Volumising hyaluronic acid, Skinboosters and biorevitalising peels produce natural, lasting, harmonious results.

When should hyaluronic acid injections be considered for feet?

For visible dorsal tissue loss, reduced support or prominent veins and tendons. They restore volume, soften contours and create a younger, balanced appearance.

Are treatments painful?

Sensation varies. Injections cause mild temporary discomfort but are well tolerated, sometimes using a cannula for safety. Peels generally only tingle or warm. No treatment requires stopping activities.

Do foot rejuvenation treatments require social downtime?

No. Non-surgical, well-tolerated procedures allow activities. Mild bruises or swelling are temporary and easily hidden.
