WESTERNISATION OF EYEBROWS USING HYALURONIC ACID

What is the westernisation of eyebrows?

The westernisation of the face, and more specifically the eyebrows, has led to a growing demand for aesthetic medicine.
Westernising the eyebrows of people of Asian origin, using hyaluronic acid and Botox injections, is a non-invasive, personalised alternative for reshaping this area.
Eyebrows play a central role in the beauty of the face and in the overall harmony of the features. In people of Asian origin, the eyebrow arch is generally straighter and less pronounced than in Europeans. Injections of hyaluronic acid can enhance and redefine the eyebrows to give them a more arched shape, subtly inspired by Western beauty standards, while respecting the harmony of the face and without compromising the patient's identity.

Westernising the Asian eyebrow in Geneva

Thanks to non-surgical treatments such as injections ofhyaluronic acid and botoxthe eyebrow can be raised subtly and the eyebrows can be

bomber, for a result in harmony with Asian facial features. The techniques are personalised and give natural, harmonious results, with a minimum of side effects and recovery time.

Why westernise Asian eyebrows?

Westernising the eyebrows involves creating a more arched shape, often perceived as more sophisticated and expressive. Unlike the naturally straight, flat eyebrows that are common among Asians, more arched and rounded eyebrows draw attention to the eyes and soften the features. Hyaluronic acid injections are a non-invasive way of reshaping the eyebrows, offering a temporary and customisable result, so you can try out different (eyebrow) styles because the result is not permanent.

Botox for eyebrow opening in the Western world

Le Botox is an effective technique for opening up the eyes and helping to westernise the eyebrow. By blocking the muscles responsible for lowering the eyebrow, Botox injections create a subtle 'lifting' effect that slightly raises the eyebrows and visually enlarges the eyes. This lift gives a more rested and relaxed appearance, bringing the face closer to Western aesthetic standards. The injection is meticulously dosed to obtain a natural, harmonious result and avoid a frozen appearance. The effects of Botox generally appear 3 to 7 days after the session and last between 4 and 6 months. This treatment is often combined with the injection of hyaluronic acid for eyebrow projection, offering a complete solution for an open look and a raised, harmonious eyebrow.

Hyaluronic acid injections for Asian eyebrow reshaping

Injections ofhyaluronic acid on the eyebrows have a number of advantages.
- Personalised reshaping: hyaluronic acid can be used to sculpt an eyebrow shape that is more arched or slightly raised and more or less rounded, depending on each patient's preferences.
- Lifting effect: by injecting at strategic points in the eyebrow arch, we obtain a subtle lifting effect, giving a more open and expressive look.
- Natural results: if correctly injected, hyaluronic acid blends naturally into the skin and face.
- Non-surgical procedure: unlike surgical techniques, injections enable immediate remodelling without the need for social eviction.

Course of the session

An initial consultation is important to understand the patient's wishes and to assess their facial morphology. The analysis takes into account the shape of the natural eyebrows, the structure of the brow bone and the overall facial expression.
After disinfection, Dr Romano injects hyaluronic acid using a cannula (a needle with a rounded tip).
The injection points are selected according to the desired effect. Generally, the injection is made just under the arch of the eyebrow to create a natural lifting effect and accentuate the curve. The product is placed very deep down in contact with the bone.
A small amount of hyaluronic acid is used each time to avoid any excess and ensure a subtle result. The procedure is virtually painless and fast, with maximum comfort for the patient.
After the injections, the doctor massages and applies the product as needed to ensure that the shape and height of the eyebrows are in perfect harmony with the rest of the face.

Instructions before and after the injection of hyaluronic acid for eyebrow projection

Before an injection of hyaluronic acid for eyebrow projection, it is advisable to follow certain recommendations to guarantee the best results and minimise risks. A few days before the session, it is preferable to avoid taking anticoagulant drugs (on the advice of and in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down by the prescribing doctor), anti-inflammatory drugs, and food supplements containing vitamin E or ginkgo biloba, which could increase the risk of bleeding and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before treatment, as this can also affect coagulation.
After the injection, it is advisable not to touch or massage the treated area for the first 24 hours to avoid displacing the product. It is also advisable not to expose the face to excessive heat sources, such as saunas, hammams or the sun, for 48 hours following the procedure. Finally, you should avoid any intense physical activity during this same period to prevent the risk of inflammation and displacement of the product.

Side effects

Hyaluronic acid injections are generally well tolerated, but as with any aesthetic procedure, they can cause some temporary side effects. The most common are slight redness, swelling and bruising of the injected area. These symptoms generally disappear within a few days.
As this is a technically complicated injection, it is important to seek the advice of an experienced doctor. Otherwise, complications can arise: allergic reactions, irregularities in product distribution, visibility of the product, necrosis, disappointing results that are not harmonious with the face.

Results: before/after Asian eyebrow injections

Hyaluronic acid injections provide immediate and harmonious results.
- Subtly arched and curved eyebrows: the arch of the eyebrow becomes slightly more pronounced, giving a more sophisticated, slender effect.
- Lifted, expressive eyes: by raising the eyebrows, the eyes appear more open, giving a more lively, youthful appearance.
- Improved facial balance: a well-defined eyebrow curve can balance other facial features and add a touch of softness.
These results are temporary and may last between 6 and 12 months, depending on each patient's metabolism and the quality of the product injected. The injections can be repeated every 6 to 12 months.
