NON-SURGICAL LIFTING

What is a medical lift ?

The liquid face lift is a variation of the MD Codes technique. It is a non-surgical aesthetic procedure that delivers immediate results. Hyaluronic acid injections are administered at strategic points to lift the face without adding volume. Botulinum toxin injections also play a role, particularly in achieving a moreopen eye appearance.

The causes

Facial sagging typically begins around the age of 30 and gradually worsens over time. As the fat descends and volumes diminish, the first wrinkles appear, giving the face a tired and sad look.

The main causes of facial sagging include :

  • Genetics : the speed at which this occurs is partly determined by genetic factors.
  • Bone and fat resorption : these are essential structural supports for the face.
  • Malar fat pad descent.
  • Hormonal changes : occurring during pregnancy or menopause, for example.
  • Rapid weight loss.
  • Intrinsic skin thinning (due to natural aging) and extrinsic skin thinning (caused by aggravating factors such as smoking and sun exposure).

How to correct facial sagging ?
Non-surgical face lift with hyaluronic acid injections

The 8-Point Face Lift is a lifting technique that enhances facial support without adding volume, achieved through the injection of a firm hyaluronic acid. This method addresses the root causes of facial sagging by :

  • Restoring lost volume (bone and fat) : deep injections placed at the bone level and within deep fat compartments.
  • Strengthening the eight key facial support points that weaken over time : these injections are also deep, reaching the bone structure.
This is known as a dual-plane technique.

The key areas treated include :
  • Tear trough (Point 3 on the diagram).
  • Nasolabial fold (Point 4).
  • Cheekbones (Points 1 and 2).
  • Midface (Point 8).
  • Oral commissures (Point 5).
  • Jawline (Points 6 and 7).

There is no specific age to begin treatment. The amount of product used depends on the patient’s anatomy. However, many patients start considering this procedure in their late 20s or early 30s when early signs of sagging appear.

This treatment is advised in the following situations :

  • Drooping facial appearance.
  • Looking sad and tired.
  • Loss of facial volume.
  • Changes in facial shape, transitioning from the triangular shape of youth to a more rectangular form.
  • Early signs of sagging-related imperfections, such as : nasolabial foldmarionette linesjowls.

However, certain cases still fall under surgical indications : severe skin sagging or significant volume loss may require surgical intervention instead of non-surgical options.

This treatment is often combined with two complementary techniques : Sculptra injections (this product densifies the skin and subcutaneous fat) and Fractional ablative laser (This technique thickens the skin for additional firmness).

Results and aftercare

The results are immediate and typically last for about a year.
In most cases, a single session is sufficient. However, when a higher volume of product is required, a second session may be scheduled one month apart.
The number of syringes needed varies depending on the patient’s anatomy, typically ranging from one to six. Post-treatment effects are minimal, with small, temporary bruises being the most common side effect.

How does the 8-point lifting technique work ?

The 8-point lift provides natural and harmonious results without surgery. It allows several areas to be treated in a single session, offering overall facial rejuvenation. This technique is less invasive, with minimal after-effects and both immediate and progressive results.

High-quality hyaluronic acids with varying densities are used depending on the area being treated. The products are chosen for their ability to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and deeply hydrate the skin, ensuring a natural and long-lasting result.
