The Hollywood Peel is a laser peel named after its popularity in the United States, particularly among celebrities. This treatment gives the skin a radiant and smooth appearance, reduces seborrhea and acne, and refines skin texture. It can be performed all year round, on all skin types. It is an alternative to chemical peels and is particularly suitable for skin that is intolerant to glycolic acid.
This gentle peel delivers a glowing and luminous complexion and improves skin texture, leaving the skin radiant and supple. It is ideal for patients seeking skin revitalization without invasive procedures.
Using a combination of laser technology and a carbon mask, the Hollywood Peel gently exfoliates the skin, removes impurities, and stimulates collagen production, allowing for deep skin cleansing and rejuvenation.
The treated areas include the face, neck, décolleté, and hands.
The Hollywood Peel can be performed on the face, neck, décolleté, and hands.
It is suitable for all skin types — combination, oily, dry, and sensitive — and for all phototypes.
However, tanned skin is a contraindication.
The main aesthetic concerns it targets include :
The choice between the Hollywood Peel and the Hydrafacial depends on your skin type and desired result.
The Carbon Laser Peel uses a laser combined with a carbon mask to deeply exfoliate the skin, remove impurities, and stimulate collagen production. The result is smoother skin, a more even tone, and a visible reduction in enlarged pores.
The Hydrafacial deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin using a unique vortex technology that removes dead skin cells while infusing hydrating and nourishing serums.
This treatment is ideal for intense hydration, enhanced glow, and is especially suited for sensitive skin types.
If you're looking for deep skin revitalization and targeted correction of imperfections, the Hollywood Peel is the better choice.
If your main goal is maximum hydration and instant radiance, the Hydrafacial is the way to go.
Step 1
On clean, makeup-free and disinfected skin, Dr. Romano applies a special carbon-based solution with a brush, specific to this type of peel.
A first laser pass is then performed. The patient’s eyes are protected with specialized goggles.
The treated area is heated to 43–45°C, allowing the solution to penetrate the pores, stimulate skin synthesis, and destroy Propionibacterium acnes — the bacteria responsible for acne.
Step 2
Two to three additional laser passes are performed to vaporize the carbon particles — this is the peeling effect: the superficial layer of the skin is exfoliated, and the contents of the pores are eliminated.
Step 3
The laser is then set to dermal stimulation mode, in order to densify and firm the skin. Two further passes are made over the treatment area.
After the removal of any residual carbon particles, a moisturizing cream is applied.
A mesolift is often recommended as a complement to deeply rehydrate the freshly exfoliated skin.
The areas that can be treated during a Carbon Peel session are :
The contraindications are :
After the session, normal activities can be resumed immediately.
The recovery is straightforward, there are no visible marks, and makeup can be reapplied right after the session.
Dr. Romano recommends applying a non-comedogenic moisturizer for a few days, and a SPF 50 sunscreen for one week.
The results of the Hollywood Peel are real and visible from the first session. This innovative treatment deeply revitalizes the skin, giving a more radiant and even complexion. Fine lines and wrinkles are reduced thanks to the stimulation of collagen production, giving the skin a more youthful appearance. In addition, dilated pores are tightened, and skin texture is refined. Skin imperfections such as pigmentation spots are significantly reduced, resulting in clearer, more even-toned skin. By regulating sebum production, the Hollywood Peel also helps reduce oily skin issues like blackheads and pimples, and improves acne. This non-invasive treatment leaves the skin refreshed, soft, and radiant, without any downtime.
Depending on the patient’s lifestyle, skin type, treated concern, and number of sessions performed, the results last between one and four months. Maintenance sessions are necessary.
The most common protocol includes 3 sessions spaced 3 weeks apart.
Doctor Romano will recommend the most suitable creams for your skin type to maintain the benefits of the treatment as long as possible.
