Body contouring with Hyacorp in Geneva

The HYACorp range offers two different acid formulations: MLF1 and MLF2.
These two gels have the same concentration of 20 mg/ml, but differ in the size of the hyaluronic acid particles, allowing the treatment to be tailored to the specific needs of each area of the body.

  • MLF1 is made up of small particles. It has been designed to treat and reshape small areas of the body, such as the calves. This product enables volumes to be corrected with finesse and precision, delivering natural, harmonious results.
  • MLF2 has larger particles and strong cross-linking. It is intended for areas requiring a greater increase in volume, such as the buttocks.

What areas are treated by Hyacorp?

Hyacorp is injected in the surgery under local anaesthetic, making it an alternative to surgery in certain indications.
This technique is suitable for patients who do not wish to undergo surgery or for whom lipofilling is not possible.
The indications are as follows:

  • Buttock augmentation by Hyacorp.
  • Body contouring by Hyacorp.
  • Increased calf size.
  • Correction of post-liposuction concavities, if there is no associated fibrosis.
  • Correction of hip hollows.

Hyacorp for men: is it possible?

Haycorp can also be used on men. This treatment can reshape and sculpt different areas of the body.
The indications are :

  • Hyacorp to increase the volume of men's buttocks. For pectoral muscles, Dr Romano recommends prostheses.
  • Hyacorp to redefine the pectoral muscles For this indication, Dr Romano recommends fitting prostheses.
  • Hyacorp to correct certain body asymmetries in a natural and personalised way.

Buttock enhancement is an increasingly common request among men. This procedure is carried out while respecting the aesthetic criteria of men's buttocks: the aim is to create a masculine buttock rather than a feminine one.

  • Moderate volume: corresponding to a muscular, toned appearance rather than a very rounded one.
  • Square or V-shaped.
  • Symmetry: this is not perfect symmetry, but the two sides are balanced in size and shape.
  • Firmness: the buttocks should be toned and well sculpted, with no sagging skin.
  • Moderate projection: this contributes to an attractive profile without exaggeration.
  • Buttocks in proportion with the rest of the body.
  • Muscular definition.
  • Clean contours: the contours of the buttocks should be well defined, with a smooth transition from the buttocks to the lower back and thighs, giving an overall well-sculpted appearance.

How is a Hyacorp injection carried out?

A consultation prior to the procedure is a medico-legal obligation. An informed estimate is provided. The cooling-off period is 15 days.
One week before the injection, if you are taking anti-inflammatory or anticoagulant medication, you should consult the prescribing doctor to stop them if possible.
The injection is made using a cannula, after a local anaesthetic has been administered.

How long does a Hyacorp session last?

The injection session lasts between two and three hours, depending on the number of syringes injected, the desired chew and the patient's anatomy.

Hyacorp or implants: which is better?
Hyacorp vs implants: what are the differences?

The choice between Hyacorp and implants depends on the patient's aesthetic goals.

Hyacorp is a less invasive solution with a shorter recovery time, ideal for patients looking for moderate volume increase and natural results.
Implants allow for greater volume increases, but this is a surgical procedure, and therefore more invasive, with longer recovery times.
The use of Hyacorp allows a personalised result, whereas in the case of prosthesis fitting, the result is linked to the shape of the prosthesis: not all shapes can be achieved with a prosthesis.

A consultation with an experienced doctor is essential to determine the best option.

Hyacorp: how many syringes for the body?

photo hyaluronic acid nose

The number of syringes of Hyacorp required for a treatment depends on a number of factors, including the area to be treated, the desired volume and the patient's individual characteristics.

For small areas such as the calves or areas of the body requiring subtle adjustments, six syringes may be enough.
For larger areas such as the buttocks, several syringes may be needed to achieve the desired volume and reshaping. It is not uncommon for buttock treatments to require between fifteen and thirty syringes, or even more, depending on the patient's aesthetic goals and initial volume.

It is essential to consult a qualified practitioner who will be able to assess your specific needs, advise you on the exact amount of product required and draw up a personalised treatment plan.

Instructions after an injection of Hyacorp

hyaluronic acid precautions

After an injection of Hyacorp, it is important to follow certain instructions.

For seven days, we recommend avoiding any sporting activity, pressure (even from clothing) on the injected area, saunas, steam rooms, UV booths, intense heat and, for buttock augmentation, avoiding sitting on them too much.

Anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-coagulants should be avoided for one week before and one week after the operation, with the agreement of the prescribing doctor.

The patient must monitor the injected area: watch for the appearance of redness, swelling or excessive pain and contact the doctor if anything abnormal develops.

Patients should use gentle skin care products and avoid those containing chemical exfoliants or potentially irritating ingredients for a few days after treatment.

What are the risks of Hyacorp injections?

Although Hyacorp injections are generally well tolerated, some side effects may occur. The most common reactions are temporary redness, slight swelling and bruising at the injection site. Some patients may also experience localised pain or tenderness. Although these reactions are generally transient and self-limiting, it is important to monitor them carefully.

To minimise the risks, it is essential to follow all post-treatment instructions provided by your doctor and to report any unusual symptoms as soon as possible.

In rare cases, more serious complications, such as infections or allergic reactions, may occur, particularly if the injection is not carried out by an experienced doctor or a non-doctor.

Hyacorp breasts

Hyacorp is banned from breasts because of the potential health risks. Unlike other areas of the body, the breasts require a very specific approach to ensure the safety and effectiveness of aesthetic treatments.

Injecting hyaluronic acid into the breasts can lead to serious complications, such as infections and granulomas.
There are interferences with mammography: early detection of breast cancer is more difficult and the diagnosis of breast cancer can be clearly prevented.
What's more, the uneven absorption of the product is particularly noticeable in the breasts, unlike the buttocks, and may therefore require injections to be given more frequently over time.
For these reasons, the use of Hyacorp in the breasts is strictly interdite by the health authorities.

Hyacorp results: before / after Hyacorp injection

The results of the Hyacorp are visible immediately after the procedure, but the swelling associated with the procedure creates surface irregularities that persist for around ten days.
The final result is visible three weeks after the session.
Patients can expect a significant improvement in the shape and volume of the treated areas.
The skin appears smoother and firmer, with a natural increase in volume, giving a more sculpted and youthful appearance.

How long do Hyacorp's results last?

Hyacorp hyaluronic acid is highly purified, which means that the results are long-lasting, generally between one and two years, depending on the area injected, the product used, the quantity used and the individual's metabolism.
To maintain the result, a maintenance session is recommended every year and a half. During this session, the quantity of acid injected is equal to 60% of the product used at the time of the first injection.
